{"id":150,"date":"2025-03-27T15:23:19","date_gmt":"2025-03-27T05:53:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wiesi-kuchnia.com\/?p=150"},"modified":"2025-03-27T15:23:19","modified_gmt":"2025-03-27T05:53:19","slug":"quiche","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wiesi-kuchnia.com\/?p=150","title":{"rendered":"Quiche"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>12 eggs<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 cans of coconut cream<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 large onions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8 thick slices of Queensland Blue pumpkin<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>spinach &#8211; 1\/4 large bunch &#8211; leaves only, stems removed<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5 tbsp grated almonds<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5 tbsp grated walnuts<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>salt, pepper &amp; vegeta seasoning<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>basil (to taste)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>garlic (optional)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>cheddar cheese (optional)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>butter or margarine for greasing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>wholemeal bread, crusts removed<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>olive oil for frying<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 tbsp plain flour<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>soy sauce or marinade of choice for pumpkin<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Preheat oven to 170\u00b0C. Prepare the baking dish by greasing sides with butter\/margarine, then line sides with thin strips of baking paper. Grease the bottom and line with wholemeal bread (crusts removed).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dice onion and lightly brown in frypan with olive oil. Remove from pan and set aside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Slice pumpkin to 1cm thick, dress with marinade of choice (e.g., soy sauce), and lightly brown on both sides in the same pan. Set aside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wilt spinach by pouring boiling water over it. Drain thoroughly, squeeze out excess water, and roughly chop. Set aside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs slowly. Gradually add coconut cream.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add salt, pepper, vegetta, grated nuts, and flour. If using, add cheddar cheese. Mix well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chop the cooled pumpkin into smaller pieces.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gently fold all prepared vegetables and remaining ingredients into the egg mixture.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Bake in pre-heated oven for 20 minutes. Check if done by inserting a skewer &#8211; it should come out clean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: Prepare and cool the spinach, onion, and pumpkin before making the egg mixture.
